Receptionist Vacancy
We are looking for a reliable, friendly and organised Part‑Time Medical Receptionist to join our busy GP practice team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
Location: New Road Surgery, Baldwins Lane, Sarratt
Available Shifts
The role covers the following regular shifts:
- Wednesday: 8.30am – 1.00pm
- Thursday: 1.00pm – 6.45pm
- Friday: 8.30am – 1.00pm and/or 1.00pm – 6.30pm
(Flexibility to cover additional shifts during holidays or sickness is required.)
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner
- Answering telephone calls and managing appointment bookings
- Supporting clinicians and colleagues with administrative duties
- Handling patient enquiries efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
- Using clinical computer systems accurately
- Helping ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Is organised, dependable and able to multitask
- Remains calm under pressure and works well as part of a team
- Has good IT skills (experience with GP systems is desirable but not essential)
- Understands the importance of confidentiality in a healthcare setting
Previous experience in a GP practice or healthcare environment is preferred, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
